following your own path at a-level

At d’Overbroeck’s, we offer an unusually wide range of 42 subjects. This enables our students to create a personalised curriculum that best fits their strengths, interests, and aspirations.

Unlike most schools and colleges in England, we don’t have fixed option blocks. This means your child can study whatever subjects they want, in any combination. Our timetable is structured to offer an exceptional degree of flexibility, too.

We encourage your child to think broadly, even if they have set ideas about what they want to do. Selecting the right subjects is crucial to academic success, and we take the process very seriously.

NEW PATHWAYS, SAME LEVEL OF EXCELLENCE

Alongside our wide range of 37 traditional A-Level subjects, we also offer Level 3 Equivalent courses that provide students with additional academic pathways to explore their interests and strengths. These qualifications offer a more applied and practical style of learning through coursework, continual assessment and hands-on projects.

Students can specialise in areas such as Business and Entrepreneurship, Criminology, Creative Media and the Creative Arts, combining academic challenge with engaging, real-world learning experiences that support their future ambitions.

beyond the curriculum

At d’Overbroeck’s, we go above and beyond in everything we do. This is certainly the case when it comes to the A-level education we offer at Sixth Form.

Outside of the curriculum, your child will enjoy an extensive range of opportunities designed to develop the skills, ideas, and attitudes they need to succeed when they graduate. Our goal is to help each student to fulfil their academic ambitions, pursue their interests, and forge their own pathway to success.

Alongside our curriculum at d’Overbroeck’s Oxford, our Sixth Form academic enrichment options include the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), competitions, conferences, lectures, themed days, and much more.
