St. Aldates
St. Aldates is a central Oxford boarding house with around 50 students. It offers all single en-suite rooms, separate girls’ and boys’ floors and communal living spaces including a common room, kitchen and laundry. With House parents on site, structured study time and social space, it combines independence with support in a city setting.

Hayfield
Hayfield is a classic Oxford boarding house with a mix of single and twin rooms and shared bathrooms. Located just minutes from both the Sixth Form, it has a welcoming communal area, garden and laundry facilities, with study support each weekday evening and meals provided at school.

Islip
Islip is a purpose-built, modern boarding house opposite the Sixth Form building, with 60 students in twin en-suite rooms. It has a strong sense of community with dedicated house staff, shared lounge and dining areas, and the convenience of immediate proximity to academic facilities and social spaces.

Nash
Nash is a smaller house with around 18 students. It features twin en-suite rooms, a garden and communal spaces for relaxing and studying, and maintains a supportive environment with age-appropriate curfews and easy access to Oxford’s centre.

St. Philip's
St. Philip’s is set in a historic priory outside the city with outdoor communal areas and comfortable accommodation for about 53 students. With its pastoral spaces and easy bus access to school, it offers a quieter, countryside boarding experience while still providing study support and community life.

We serve a healthy and nutritious breakfast every day, which includes a wide variety of hot and cold options. This brings the school community together at the start of the day.

The school day

Throughout the school day, our boarders have plenty of contact with our pastoral team, ensuring that any concerns are shared and resolved.

After-school activities

Free time in the boarding house is about fun and building friendships! Staff lead some of our communal activities, but we also encourage our boarders to come up with their own clubs, events, and plans.

Dinner

Dinner is served in school rather than our boarding houses, although a variety of healthy snacks are available in our house kitchens. Students can also use the kitchen facilities to prepare their own meals, if they fancy a taste of home!

Study time

Younger students have structured study time, supported by our staff and visiting tutors. Guided by our tutors, our older students construct their own study timetable, based on their subjects and workload.

Night time

Curfews and bedtimes vary by age. We make sure the house Wi-Fi is turned off overnight to ensure our students get a good night’s rest.
