Prior to joining d’Overbroeck’s in 2023, I worked in several very different boarding schools across the UK and abroad, including most recently five years at another Nord Anglia school in Thailand. These experiences have shaped my belief that boarding is unique in its potential to have a hugely positive and lasting impact on students' lives, even long after they have left school.
My favourite part of working in boarding is the strong sense of community, and the opportunity to celebrate the small but meaningful wins students come home excited to share - whether it’s performing a speech they’re proud of, scoring for the school team, or learning to boil an egg for the first time. These everyday achievements may seem simple, but they represent growing confidence, independence, and sense of self.
Our boarding team prides itself on creating an environment where students feel supported, valued, and able to be themselves. We work hard to create a home away from home where every individual can thrive and surprise themselves to discover what they are capable of.
