We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding A-Level results of our Class of 2026, with strong academic results, exceptional individual achievements and students securing places at some of the UK’s most prestigious universities.
This year, 211 Year 13 students received their A-Level results at d’Overbroeck’s, marking the culmination of two years of hard work, ambition and determination, supported by our dedicated teaching staff and the encouragement of parents and families.
Andrew Colclough, Head of Sixth Form, commented:
“It has been such a pleasure to see so many smiling faces amongst students, parents and teachers in the Sixth Form as we celebrate outstanding achievement.
“With over two hundred students leaving us and the vast majority choosing to go on to university, we say a bittersweet farewell to our students who can now embark on the next exciting adventure in their lives. We are incredibly proud of the knowledge, skill and confidence they have developed over the last two years and will miss them enormously.
“It is a huge team effort from students, parents and staff to get to this point and I would like to thank the wider staff body for their incredible hard work and inspiration working with this year group.”

These results are a testament to their ambition, determination and hard work, as well as the dedication and commitment of our teaching staff who have supported them throughout their time at d’Overbroeck’s.
“It is wonderful to see so many of our students achieve such strong results and have their efforts rewarded. Behind every grade is an individual achievement and a great deal of hard work, and today is an opportunity to celebrate all that this remarkable group of young people has accomplished.
“We congratulate every one of our students and wish them every success and happiness as they take their exciting next steps beyond d’Overbroeck’s.”
There have been many exceptional individual achievements across the Class of 2026.
Ava achieved an outstanding A* in English Literature, A* in Classical Civilisation and A in Drama and Theatre and will now take up a place at the University of Cambridge to study Classics.
Riley achieved an exceptional set of results across Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Further Mathematics and the Extended Project Qualification (A* A* A* A) and will progress to the University of Southampton to study Electronic Engineering with Industrial Studies.
Alisa achieved an A* in Photography, A in Business and A in French, including an exceptional 200/200 – full marks – in Photography, one of the top results in the country. She will now study Management (Marketing) with Industrial/Professional Experience at the University of Manchester.
Our students have secured places at many of the UK’s leading universities, including the University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, UCL, the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), King’s College London, Durham University, the University of St Andrews, the University of Warwick, the University of Edinburgh, the University of Bristol, the University of Bath, the University of Manchester, the University of Birmingham, the University of Southampton, University of the Arts London and the University of Leeds.
The breadth of our students’ next steps is equally impressive. They will go on to study subjects including Law, Medicine, Business, Economics, English, Geography, Mathematics and Psychology, alongside creative and specialist pathways such as Music, Drama, Art and Architecture – with courses across the Class of 2026 ranging quite literally from Accounting to Zoology.
