A-Levels
At d’Overbroeck’s we offer an unusually broad range of 36 A-Level subjects, giving students the flexibility to choose the combination of subjects that best fits their strengths, interests and future aspirations. The subjects that we offer are listed below.
Unlike most schools, we don’t set fixed option blocks. This means you can study whatever subjects you want in any combination. Our timetable structure is designed to offer an exceptional degree of flexibility and can usually accommodate the majority of the subject combinations we are asked for each year.
We encourage you to start by thinking broadly, even if you have quite set ideas on what you want to do, and to research thoroughly. Getting your subject choice right is crucial to academic success: we take it very seriously indeed, and encourage you to do the same.

36 subjects to choose from
The more you know about subjects you may want to take, the easier it is to make a choice and the more informed that choice will be. Click on each subject to find out more.

At d’Overbroeck’s, we like to go above and beyond in everything we do; but most importantly when it comes to the education we offer in our Sixth Form. We believe in equipping all our students with the skills, ideas and attitudes required to succeed in life. That’s why we’re proud to be able to offer a comprehensive set of opportunities to help our students be the very best they can be and achieve their academic ambitions.
Our Sixth Form academic enrichment options include the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), and wider learning opportunities, such as competitions, challenges, conferences, lectures, themed learning days and more.
