The results demonstrate strong achievement across a wide range of subjects, including Maths, English, Drama, Design Technology, Languages and the Higher Project Qualification.

Nick Haines, Head of Senior School, said:

“d’Overbroeck’s has much to celebrate this morning. This is our best-ever set of GCSE results, and I am incredibly proud of what our students have achieved.

From Maths and English to Drama, DT, Languages and the Higher Project Qualification, our students have demonstrated an impressive breadth of talent, commitment and determination. They have every reason to feel proud of their achievements, and it has been fantastic to see the hard work they and their teachers have put in over the past two years pay off.

At d’Overbroeck’s, we are proud to work with a diverse range of young people, each with their own strengths, interests and ambitions. What makes these results particularly special is seeing the progress made by every student and knowing that all of our Year 11s are now moving confidently on to the next stage of their education.

We wish them every success for the future and look forward to seeing all that they go on to achieve.”

Individual Achievements

Alongside the strong results achieved across the year group, a number of students celebrated exceptional individual success. Elsa achieved outstanding results, including Grade 9s in Chemistry, English Language and Geography, alongside Grade 8s in Biology, Physics, History, Maths, Music and Spanish. She will now continue her studies in the Sixth Form at d’Overbroeck’s.

Elsa said:

“I am incredibly proud of my results. The teachers at d’Overbroeck’s have been so supportive and encouraging throughout my time here, helping me to grow in confidence and achieve my best. The small class sizes have made a huge difference to my learning, and I’m really excited to continue my journey in the Sixth Form at d’Overbroeck’s.”

Ivo also celebrated outstanding results, achieving Grade 9s in Latin and French, alongside Grade 8s in Biology, Chemistry, English and History. He will also be joining the Sixth Form at d’Overbroeck’s this September.

Ivo said:

“I have loved my time at the Senior School. All the staff are so friendly and supportive. I am looking forward to studying A Levels.”

While Results Day provides an opportunity to celebrate academic success, at d’Overbroeck’s we place equal importance on the individual progress behind every set of grades. Through small class sizes and a highly personalised approach to learning, our students are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and curiosity alongside their academic achievements.

Chris Bromham, Principal, said:

“I am delighted to be joining d’Overbroeck’s at such an exciting time and would like to congratulate all of our students receiving their GCSE results today. This is an important milestone, and they should be immensely proud of everything they have achieved.

What stands out to me about d’Overbroeck’s is our commitment to supporting every student as an individual and helping them fulfil their potential. I look forward to seeing our students continue to grow in confidence, pursue their interests and embrace the opportunities ahead. I wish all of our students every success in the next stage of their journey and look forward to welcoming those continuing with us into the Sixth Form.”

For many of the Class of 2026, GCSE Results Day marks the beginning of the next stage of their education, with students progressing to Sixth Form and building on the academic interests and ambitions they have developed during their GCSE years.

These record-breaking results are testament to the d’Overbroeck’s approach: a personalised, ambitious education that celebrates individuality and empowers every student to achieve their full potential.

Congratulations to the d’Overbroeck’s Class of 2026.
