LOOKING AFTER YOUR CHILD'S WELLBEING

At d’Overbroeck’s, pastoral care is at the heart of everything we do. This ensures every student has the support they need to succeed academically and flourish as an individual.

Alongside a comprehensive personal, social, health, and economic (PSHE) programme, we make sure our students have the tools to build resilience, bounce-back from adversity, and look after their physical and mental health.

OUR FORM TUTORS

Our fantastic Form Tutors are the first point of contact for our students. Your child will meet with their Form Tutors twice a day, at registration. This is the ideal opportunity to check homework, discuss their day, and take part in a variety of wellbeing focused activities.

OUR KEY STAGE 3 AND 4 COORDINATORS

Our Form Tutors are supported by a team of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Coordinators. They'll monitor your child's academic progress and their wellbeing, providing - where needed - additional support to help them achieve their potential. Our Key Stage Coordinators also work closely with our Deputy Head (Pastoral) to ensure students settle into our community and make the most of their time with us.

DEPUTY HEAD (PASTORAL)

Our Deputy Head (Pastoral) supports our Form Tutors, Key Stage Coordinators, and pastoral staff, creating a supportive team around each child. They manage behavioural issues, develop and implement wellbeing strategies, and oversee our approach to safeguarding. When extra support is needed, they may also refer a student to our counsellor.

EMPOWERING YOUR CHILD TO FLOURISH

Our progressive approach to education carefully melds the highest academic standards with fun, student self-expression, and truly personalised learning.
