Students at d’Overbroeck’s have a lot to celebrate after receiving excellent A-Level results. Despite the media concerns over a significant fall in grades nationally this has not been the experience of our students. The incredible results this year are in line with students’ results in the last couple of years, proving that the educational standard at d’Overbroeck’s is consistently kept high through excellent teaching, engaging academic and co-curricular activities and supportive pastoral care. The Extended Project Qualification continues to be an exceptional offering at our Sixth Form, with over half our students choosing to take up the opportunity.

The key results this year are:

66% of all d’Overbroeck’s Sixth Form entries achieved A*-A.

44% of d’Overbroeck’s students achieved all A* or A grades in every subject they took.

87% of all entries achieved A*-B.

78% of Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) entries alone were awarded A*-A.

174 students took exams from a range of 37 subjects.

d’Overbroeck’s Principal Jonathan Cuff said, “I’m thrilled to have been surrounded by so many happy faces here at school today and hear from our international students receiving their results back home all around the world. Our students have demonstrated fantastic academic progress and should be incredibly proud of themselves for all they’ve achieved.” “It’s a particular testament, not only to the hard work of our students but also our wonderful teachers and the work of all the staff, to create a sixth form environment where students can thrive.”   “These results will secure many outstanding opportunities at leading UK universities including Russell Group and Oxbridge, but we’re also excited to see several students moving on to a diverse range of international institutions , and some incredibly impressive vocational pathways . I hope they continue on their next steps with the same love of learning and passion for each of life’s opportunities that they’ve demonstrated here at d’Overbroeck’s.”Having faced down the challenge of an unprecedented educational journey, our students have once again done themselves proud with fantastic exam results,” remarked Head of Sixth Form, Alasdair MacPherson. “In amongst all the data and statistics, there are numerous individual stories of personal success, and I am so delighted with how they have all performed. We look forward to hearing from them in due course as they build upon these wonderful results and embark upon their next exciting steps.”
