d’Overbroeck’s Library
The school library provides a calm and welcoming space where our students can study independently, find a quiet space to read, or get involved with one of our many book-related events. Spread across three sites, d’Overbroeck’s library offers something for everyone.
The Sixth Form library boasts tranquil views over Oxford, a quiet reading hub, and a collaborative workspace. We have a strong collection of both fiction and non-fiction titles, with additional focus on wellbeing, languages, and popular graphic novels. We have welcomed many exciting authors through our library doors, including award-winning author Patience Agbabi and fantasy novelist Francesca Haig. Bringing these authors into school is an important part of our library programme as it both enrichens and enlightens our students.
Students can volunteer in the library as part of our general development programme or as part of the DofE programme. Book-related clubs are a thriving part of the library world. These include The Writing Society, Book Connections, Quills, and Literati. Our library team are always at hand to offer help, advice, and a knowledgeable view of the fascinating book world.
“I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library.”
