IGCSE results

2020 was an impressive year for our IGCSE results. And most of our students got these results after only one year of study, rather than two.

Ted McGrath, Head of The International School says:

We are delighted with our students’ IGCSE results for 2020.

Given that the past year has been particularly challenging and that most of these students took their IGCSEs in one year rather than the usual two, this is an extraordinary achievement.

These are excellent results for our students and a testament to both their hard work and that of their teachers. I wish them every success in their future studies and am delighted that so many will be continuing onto d’Overbroeck’s Sixth Form. Very well done!

In 2020, our IGCSE results reflected the amazing achievements of all our international students:

1 45
% of grades 9-8 (equal to A*)
1 62
% grades 9-7 (equal to A*-A)
1 73
% of grades 9-6 (equal to A*-B)

Jonathan Cuff, Principal of d'Overbroeck's says:

“Congratulations to our amazing students for these record IGCSE results. This is a reflection of the fantastic work of the staff at – and leadership in – our International School who continue to raise the standards of academic and pastoral care year on year. We are very proud of these results which reinforce our ethos that happy and motivated students have a real chance of success. At d’Overbroeck’s we work hard to continue to excel in creating an environment where each individual can thrive. Well done and congratulations to everyone.”
