The Discovery Years

Our new Discovery Years programme offers students aged 13+ an exciting opportunity to take their first steps into the British education system earlier, and benefit from early preparation to succeed in their future GCSE and IGCSE studies.


The Discovery Years programme is equivalent to Year 9 in the British education system.

On this course, our students study a broad and interesting curriculum including:

  • English as a Second Language (ESL)
  • Maths
  • Science
  • Humanities
  • Languages
  • Art
  • Music
  • Drama
  • Computing
  • TRACK programme
  • Physical Education
  • Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) Education


Throughout the course, students engage in active learning, project work, teamwork and presentations, whilst developing their own study skills. Our students enjoy studying a range of academic subjects and significantly improve their English language skills with the support from our highly-qualified and experienced teachers.


Some of the benefits of The Discovery Years course include:

  • Early preparation to succeed in future GCSE and IGCSE studies
  • Flexible start dates – students can either join this programme in September, January or April
  • Small classes (a maximum of 11 students per class) to encourage discussion and debate

Entry requirements

Entry requirements include:

  • Age: 13+
  • IELTS: 3.5+
