d'Overbroeck's IGCSE results 2020

Congratulations to all our Year 11 international students on their IGCSE results!

All our students have done incredibly well during challenging circumstances this year, demonstrating significant resilience and an unwavering dedication to their studies.

This year, our Year 11 international students have achieved:

  • 27% entries awarded grade 9
  • 45% entries awarded grades 9-8
  • 62% entries awarded grades 9-7
  • 60% of HPQs awarded A*-A

“Congratulations to all our international students on these excellent IGCSE results. This is a reflection of the fantastic work of the staff at – and leadership in – our International School who continue to raise the standards of academic and pastoral care year on year.

We are hugely proud of all our students and the work they put in over the year, both when they were here for the first part of the year and after lockdown, when they continued to engage in our online learning programmes. Well done and congratulations all!”

Jonathan Cuff, Principal

“We are delighted with our students’ IGCSE results for 2020. Given that the past year has been particularly challenging and that most of these students took their IGCSEs in one year rather than the usual two, this is an extraordinary achievement.

These are excellent results for our students and a testament to both their hard work and that of their teachers. I wish them every success in their future studies and am delighted that so many will be continuing onto d’Overbroeck’s Sixth Form. Very well done!”

Ted McGrath, Head of The International School

“We are extremely pleased with our IGCSE results, which are even better than last year’s and show just how hard our students have worked this year. These grades will give students a very firm foundation for the next stage of their education.”

Steve Wheeler, Director of Studies, The International School

Once again, congratulations to all our Year 11 international students on your hard work and dedication during these challenging times. We wish you all the best with your future studies, and if you’re joining us in our Sixth Form we look forward to seeing you in September!
