IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OUR FEES

  • VAT
VAT and all other chargeable taxes are included in d’Overbroeck’s fees, as set out in the Fees Schedule. This is in line with Government legislation.
  • Exam entry fees
Exam entry fees depend on the number of public examinations taken in each year. Typically, however, exam fees are around £400 per student.
  • Textbooks
Students collect their recommended coursebooks on Induction Day. The cost of books is added to a student’s bill.

Textbook charges vary based on the subjects being studied but typically range from between £5.99 and £30 per book. These are usually included on the spring term invoice. The total cost is typically around £120.
  • Optional insurance cover
We offer optional insurance cover for domestic and international students through Endsleigh. The policy is designed to cater for the insurance needs of students studying in the UK on a trip arranged by d’Overbroeck's.

The policy covers emergency medical assistance and medical costs, protection in the event of cancellation or curtailment, and cover for the loss, theft or damage to baggage and/or personal money.

Full details are sent with the first term’s bill, and further copies may be obtained from the Bursary at any time.
  • d’Overbroeck’s native language course
Several students choose to study their native language in the first year of Sixth Form, in addition to their core programme. They do this to maintain and develop their existing skills, and also to gain an extra A-Level qualification. Most students finish the course with a grade A or A*. This is a useful addition to university applications.

Our native (near-native) language programmes comprise a one-year course, which is followed in the first year of Sixth Form. This leads to an A-Level exam. All places are subject to an assessment when a student arrives; this will ensure they benefit from the course and that it fits with their overall study programme.

Where three or more students wish to study their native (or near native) language, the course fee is £1,000. This includes a minimum of 45 hours of group contact time. If, however, fewer than three students wish to study a particular language, we’ll assess each individual and agree a suitable programme of tuition, if feasible.

To register your interest in our language programmes, please contact:

  • Trips and visits

Fees vary depending on the nature of a trip. We will always seek parental consent for chargeable trips. Experiences can vary from a local event or conference that costs around £30 to an optional overseas expedition costing £3,500.
