Last week saw the Cohen Hall transformed into a theatre for our annual school production, which this year was Arthur Miller’s powerful political drama The Crucible.
Featuring a large cast from across Years 7-11 and the Sixth Form, the play – performed in its entirety without any cuts – has been a huge success, with audiences commending the talent of all the cast and crew.
As the director, I would like to offer a huge thank you to everyone involved in the production, from a supremely talented, committed and focused ensemble cast to a thoroughly professional, organised and dynamic crew headed by Sixth Former Ed Field as Stage Manager.
The school production is without doubt a colossal undertaking and grows in scope and ambition each year, and this year’s performances have done us proud.
I am amazed that such a weighty, difficult and wordy text has been brought to life so vividly and with such ferocity.
It will live long in the memories of all who saw it.
