Adam Johnstone
Head of A-Level Extended Projects (EPQs)
Adam studied Human Sciences at Oxford, following this with a Masters in Social Anthropology. He has been teaching Biology at d’Overbroeck’s for over 30 years and the outward bound adventures of his youth, including trips to the Galapagos Islands and an overland crossing of Borneo, have largely been replaced by sedentary pursuits. He is the author of a Biology textbook, a children’s science encyclopaedia and of educational software suite created for the European Space Agency.
As well as teaching Biology, Adam runs the schools EPQ programme, delighting in any project that, in the spirit of the Human Sciences, makes an attempt at synthesis and the establishment of links between disparate subjects.
