Experimenting with different music genres, both vocally and in composing and building up his digital composition skills in Music Tech classes. “I never feel forced into performing certain pieces or in a certain way”, he says. “At d’Overbroeck’s I can cultivate my personal interests and have the freedom to explore my musical identity.”
Potentially a gap year, performing and getting to know people in the music industry in London, followed by a Music degree course.
Whilst a Chorister at New College, Michael toured internationally. His connection with New College continues as he returns each week to teach; conducting a cello trio and helping to run a Grade 5 Music Theory group. Outside of school he sings with a church choir on Sundays and performs semi-professionally at events and concerts around the country. Michael also plays the piano, double bass and organ.
