This year marked the first Year 10 PD Enterprise Christmas Fair.
All students were involved in selling their wares to raise money for a charity of their choice.
There were lots of opportunities to buy those last minute stocking fillers, with students having made huge efforts to produce items such as handmade Christmas cards, fudge, gingerbread, decorations, bracelets and wrapping paper to name but a few, as well as the opportunity to buy homemade toffee apples, hot chocolate, toasties and other delicious treats.
This was a hugely successful event thanks to the planning and hard work that went into it with many charities set to benefit. Thank you Year 10 students, we feel very proud of you!
“Inspired by The School Enterprise Challenge sweeping the nation, today we had our very own d’Overbroeck’s Christmas fair!
The year 10s had been working on this PD project for weeks now in order to raise money for different charities like The Oxford Animal Sanctuary, NSPCC and Orphanages in Sierra Leone. A huge amount of time, love and care were put into this by the year 10s. From Christmas cards to cookies, toffee apples and friendship bracelets, these creative and festive stalls were a smashing success with the year 7, 8 and 9s. Thanks to this, we were able to raise money to help those in need and have so much fun doing it.”
