We are thrilled to announce that d'Overbroeck's students have achieved success in the Global Campus Virtual Young Musician of the Year Award! Two talented individuals have been judged as winners in their respective categories, showcasing the exceptional musical gifts nurtured within our school. Cosimo, a Music Scholar at d'Overbroeck's, secured an impressive 2nd place and received a special mention on the Global Campus platform. His performance in the Classical Strings Plucked category for 11–14-year-olds captured the attention of the judges. Furthermore, Lucas, a Drama Scholar, along with his bandmates Ollie, Will, and Oscar, secured an impressive 3rd place in the Band Groups category for 15-19-year-olds. You might remember Lucas from his Musical Comedy performances at our school concerts and Open Mics with friend Jamie!

And other Band performances such as this one:

The Global Campus Virtual Young Musician of the Year Award is a truly global event that attracts participants from across the whole Nord Anglia family of schools. In 2022, an astounding 1,370 students from 64 schools showcased their exceptional musical abilities to a panel of 27 distinguished judges. With a total of 17 categories to choose from, the competition was fierce. We are incredibly proud that our students' musical talents were recognised amongst their peers. These achievements not only reflect the talent within our student body but also speak volumes about the stimulating environment at d'Overbroeck's that fosters artistic growth. Students at d’Overbroeck’s have opportunities throughout the year to perform in a supportive and friendly environment to provide them with practice and build up their confidence. A huge congratulations to Cosimo, Lucas, Ollie, Will, and Oscar, for their accomplishments. We hope their success will serve as an inspiration for students within our school community who are budding musicians, or students who may be thinking about getting involved in the other international opportunities from the Global Campus platform.
