At d’Overbroeck’s International School, we want our students to experience all that Oxford has to offer during their time at our school. Throughout the academic year, we organise a wide range of stimulating trips and activities in this world-renowned city of education.
- Visits to Oxford’s theatres, cinemas, galleries or museums
- Concerts and school productions (that they can also take part in)
- Visits to lectures at the University of Oxford
- Sports matches
In their first month of school, our students visited two famous Oxford museums: the Oxford University Museum of Natural History and the Pitt Rivers Museum.
Both museums belong to the University of Oxford and hold an internationally-significant collection of natural history specimens, archives and archaeological and ethnographic objects.
As part of our active learning approach, during this excursion, our students were encouraged to sketch the exhibits they liked the most.
These sketches will be presented in their next Art lesson.
