‘Personification – nice!’
‘Oooo, this is dark!’
‘These year eight poems are goooood!’
Words overheard during a judging session of the school poetry competition ran by Year 12 English students, who were judging the entries from students in Years 7-10.
During the last months of Autumn term, students throughout the school were busy penning poems at home and in lessons on the theme of ‘Monsters’.
By the end of the competition, we received over 75 entries.
Year 12 English Literature students Carmel, Anna-Maris, Louis, Ellen, Liv and Maya acted as judges for the students in Years 7-10.
On the last day of term, our judges gave feedback to the winners and presented the prizes.
Congratulations to all students!
