This year’s British Biology Olympiad was held in the first week of February and involved 9,465 students from over 700 schools worldwide. The test is organised by the Royal Society for Biology and consists of two multiple choice papers, with questions based on the A level syllabus.
Our students aquitted themselves extremely well, achieving the following results:
Silver: Ed, Tony, Alex
Highly Commended: Michael, Anna, Julia, Wendy, Alice
Well done, in particular, to Michael who took the test a year early! Certificates will be handed out to the students in the next Assemblies.
Joseph and Tony are seen here with Biology teacher Shanti Bharatan’s DNA sampler. Each year, Shanti stitches on the names of those students who have achieved an A* in Biology A level – Joseph and Tony are planning to join the roll of honour after results day in August!
