2001-03 After d’Overbroeck’s I went straight to Oxford Brookes University to study on an Art Foundation course which was really amazing and good fun. I would definitely recommend it to art students. I went travelling around Morrocco as well, which was fabulous and very funky – it gave me a lot of ideas for my designs. I then got into London College of Fashion to do Fashion Accessories and have just finished my first year - it was daunting, but incredibly fun and grown-up. I am still making bags and belts under my own fashion label and selling them privately. I am hoping to get a stall in Portabello Market in Notting Hill and also get work experience with the designer Cath Kidson. I have also been doing some modelling at events such as Toni and Guy fashion shows which is a bit of a giggle! And I am signed up with Talent Focus in London – so I am just waiting to see what happens in the future. Next year I have a year’s work in the fashion industry before I graduate, and I would love to go to New York or Milan (I studied Italian at d'Overbroeck’s but it was never my best subject…!) |
