Carol Lin

came on our summer course before joining the Sixth Form.........

Carol was studying at King’s International Study Centre, Ely for GCSEs before joining d’Overbroeck’s. Her home city is Guanghou in South China.

Before starting the Sixth Form she joined our summer course for 2 weeks. In these weeks she studied academic English. Each week had a theme: one was British History and the other Business and Marketing.

“I have been to three summer courses and this one was my favourite because we learnt many different things not only the language but also general knowledge about Britain. It was useful to study before the sixth form; I had spent some of the summer in China and this course helped me to improve my English again ready for my studies. It was also a good opportunity to learn more about d’Overbroeck’s and talk to teachers about the subjects I wanted to study. "

Carol's AS subjects are Accounting, Communication Studies, Economics and Maths.
