Drama

This year's production, Guys & Dolls. More about the show

Conceive, create, perform

At d'Overbroeck's, you'll be able to unfetter your dramatic creativity. Drama is so much more than learning lines and performing.

Major College productions

Last year's award-winning production of Death & The Egyptians, for instance, was a collaboration between d'Overbroeck's students and the Ashmolean Museum. Inspired by workshops and private viewings of some of the museum's ancient exhibits, those involved constructed a narrative and developed their own production – subsequently performed at the Ashmolean.

Every other year, the College puts on a musical: a large-scale production involving many students. 2008's was the classic battle-of-the-sexes comedy Guys & Dolls, while 2006's was Grease. Whether you've performed in plays before or are trying drama for the first time, there are countless opportunities to take part – as a performer or behind the scenes.
