Dance

Whether you are serious about following dance further (in work or education), just doing it for the fitness or simply for fun, dance club will have something for you! We work on street dance based routines ready for performances in Oxford at various events and occasions, such as, the Winter Lights Festival and Cowley Carnival as well as school performances.

For the more serious dance students there is opportunity to use their own choreography and help teach the class to perform their routines when they feel ready. Rhiannon Lewis runs the club and has a wealth of experience. Rhiannon has danced from a very young age in Ballet, Modern, Jazz and Contemporary before studying for her degree in Dance and Culture BA (Hons) at University of Surrey. Since then she has performed regularly throughout the UK with SalsaOxford ConTambor semi-pro team (check out youtube!). Rhiannon is a trained Ceroc (modern Jive) teaching adult classes at The Regal and Town Hall Oxford and is also a newly qualified teacher of the Zumba. She also has a dance leadership award and is a freelance dance practitioner working in schools teaching African, Indian, Creative and Street Dance in and around Oxfordshire. The dance club takes place at Leckford Place school hall.
