Cookery

Cookery club is a recent addition to our expanding extra-curricular programme. It was started in response to a teacher's passion for food. Steph Croft-Simon, a Sociology teacher at d'Overbroeck's has always loved cooking and wanted to share some of her knowledge with students soon to be left to their own culinary devices at University. Steph has a Level 2 Award in Food Safety and Catering and runs the club from the well equipped kitchens at North Oxford Association Community Centre in Summertown. Students learn how to make nutritious, tasty meals as well as getting a chance to request how to cook some of their own favourites.
