What do you want to learn about in the sixth form? Understand the UK political system? Discuss the causes of crime? Consider the impact of the euro on UK firms? Debate the ethics of stem cell research? Learn a language? Whatever it is you want to learn about you probably can do it with us! This is because we offer a much wider choice of A levels than most schools - around 40 subjects in all; this allows students to match their studies to their interests and abilities. It also enables them to develop a very wide range of skills if they want: everything from writing an essay, analysing data, making a presentation, taking part in a play, producing a computer programme or an advertising campaign for a client. The subjects available include the full range of "traditional" subjects in the arts, sciences, humanities and social sciences, as well as a number of newer, more "contemporary" subjects such as Business Studies, Communication and Culture, Drama and Theatre Studies, Film Studies, Photography and Music Technology. Read further details of the AS and A level subjects available d'Overbroeck's Find out about the new AQA Baccalaureate, available from September 2008 Alongside their subjects students have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of sports and activities such as music, drama and debating. |
