Preparation for University

Academic rigour

Throughout your time at d'Overbroeck's, you'll be taught in small classes, by teachers at the top of their field. You'll be advancing – and supporting – your own opinions and arguments. Just as in university tutorials or seminars, you'll be challenged on what you say.

By the time you start at university or are invited to interview, you'll be used to stating and justifying your views.

Self-discipline and motivation

As a Sixth Former, you'll be trusted to manage your own schedule, meet your deadlines and take responsibility for your work. You'll learn to balance your academic tasks with your extracurricul committments and personal life – a skill that will be exceptionally useful in making the transition to university life.
