Access Awards

The College is delighted to be able to offer two Access Scholarships. These may amount to as much as 100% of tuition fees.

The Access awards are different from the College’s other scholarships in that they are intended exclusively for students whose families would not, on financial grounds, be able to consider independent education. It is expected that candidates applying for the access awards will have attended maintained schools throughout their education to date.

In addition to outstanding academic potential, students applying for the Access Scholarships will be required to show evidence of an enquiring mind, genuine academic ambition and a readiness to make a lively contribution to the life of the College and of its student community. Candidates will be asked to take a special scholarship examination and to attend for an interview. A reference will also be sought from their current school.

Applications for the d’Overbroeck’s Access Scholarships are now welcome from candidates who are currently in Year 11 and who fulfil the criteria specific to these awards.
