Geography |

The Geography revision course concentrates on improving the essential skills of exam technique, question interpretation, map-work and graphical and numerical analysis. Whilst good factual knowledge is, of course, important, all the examining boards test skills and understanding, and it is on these that we concentrate during the course. An area for special focus will be how to answer longer questions effectively using the information provided. It should be pointed out that none of the Geography exam syllabus cover exactly the same content, level of detail, or case study exemplars, and with this in mind it is not possible to simply present factual content and knowledge. Thus this is largely a skills based course. Each student will base his or her study on exam questions from previous years, and progress is monitored carefully. After the mock exam has been set and marked each student will receive individual feedback, and towards the end of the week ample time is allocated for specific questions to be answered and explained. |
