Venue and Accommodation

The following information relates to our 2008 courses. Information about our 2009 courses will be available later in the year.

Teaching takes place at The Swan Building, our main sixth form site. This is located in North Oxford, minutes away from the city centre.

Accommodation - residential students stay in one of our boarding houses under the supervision of our residential staff. We can offer both single rooms and large double rooms with en-suite facilities.

Meals - Breakfast and dinner are provided for residential students. Lunch is provided on site for all students (residents and non-residents).

Evenings - The course is very intensive and you will work extremely hard during the day. You are, therefore, not generally expected to work in the evenings, and residential students may choose to take part in a range of supervised sporting and leisure activities organised by d’Overbroeck’s staff. This may include bowling, a cinema trip, ice-skating, basketball, squash, 5-a-side football, tennis, rounders, DVDs or table tennis.

Supervision - All students are under the care of d’Overbroeck’s staff at all times. The Course staff and the Warden share the 24 hour supervision of the residential students. The College Sports & Activities Co-ordinator arranges and supervises evening activities with the help of other staff.
