This course aims to help students increase their critical understanding of Sociology through the study of specific topic areas that will draw upon the crucial skills required i.e. those of knowledge, application and evaluation as well as enhancing sociological language - the sociological concepts. Students can expect to develop their understanding of the fundamentals required for the Sociology exam and leave the course with a concise set of revision notes and enhanced confidence about how to tackle those exams! We will work through several major topic areas and draw upon the necessary theoretical and methodological skills required by all specifications.
