Drama

Drama at Leckford Place is about allowing students to develop confidence in themselves – not just as performers, but as individuals and members of a broader society.

We want our students to develop their confidence and imagination as well as their talents. To this end, we put a strong emphasis on a collaborative approach to Drama. Everyone has an input; everyone's individual aptitudes are recognised.

Drama of all varieties

Drama's about so much more than learning lines and performing. At Leckford Place, we want to help students unleash their dramatic creativity.

During their time here, pupils will come into contact with many different styles and genres of drama, be they scripted or improvised – everything from mask work to puppetry, acting to stage management. There are also opportunities to work in costume, set and lighting design.

We aim to work with students on traditional approaches to Theatre whilst also using Drama to address relevant contemporary issues.
