Introduction

Leckford Place is an independent day school for girls and boys from the age of 11 to 16.

The School has two main entry points:

At age 11 (into Year 7)

At age 13 (into Year 9)

The School is located just off the Woodstock Road in a beautiful part of central North Oxford, on the corner of Leckford Road and Leckford Place.

A major programme of building work has been undertaken on the site, which was previously occupied by the School of St Philip and St James (“Phil and Jim” as it was better known locally). The scheme, designed by Oxford architect Nick Hardy, successfully combines a vision for a modern, forward-looking school with a great deal of sensitivity to the original buildings, the earliest of which dates back to 1872.
