How many students are there at Leckford Place?

There are around 160 students at Leckford Place, aged between 11 and 16. The school is coeducational throughout, and approximately evenly divided between girls and boys.

Does the school provide boarding accommodation?

No, Leckford Place is a day school, meaning that we are not able to provide accommodation for residential students.

How does Leckford Place fit into d'Overbroeck's College?

d'Overbroeck's College is the umbrella under which both Leckford Place and the d'Overbroeck's Sixth Form fall. Leckford Place is the junior section of the College, and is based on a separate site, 5-10 minutes' walk from the Sixth Form.

What are the school hours?

School begins at 8.45am, and ends at 3.55pm (in time for students to catch buses leaving at 4pm).

Is there Saturday school?

No: the school week runs from Monday to Friday.

What facilities exist for cyclists?

We're very keen to encourage cycling as an alternative to travel by car – to which end, we have a covered bike shelter, and also run cycling proficiency tests in conjunction with the council.

We deliberately keep our class sizes small – no class is ever larger than 15 students, and many are considerably smaller.

Class sizes are among the main attractions of the independent sector, and our classes here at Leckford Place are relatively small even by independent school standards.
