Number 1 in England for value added

This year, d'Overbroeck's College has been ranked number 1 in England for value added between GCSE and A level (as published by the BBC). Our score of 1104 was the highest of all the schools in the country. Together with A level results of 62% A grades, we are delighted that our students continue to perform so well.

International Study Centre featured as Centre of Excellence

In the next edition of EL Gazette (due out in April), we are to be featured as a centre of excellence, based on the British Council Inspection criteria. We are one of only two ISCs to be featured, and our GCSE Programme scored six points of excellence – which puts us in the top 10 of over 500 accredited UK language centres.

GCSE places still available – but filling fast!

There are still a few places available on the GCSE programme at the International Study Centre (ages 14-17, 1 or 2 year courses available). These are ideal as an entry point to prepare students for A levels. We also have a limited number of places available on our popular Summer English Courses. Please contact us for more details.

Oxford & Cambridge success

9 of our students have won places at Oxford and Cambridge Universities this year – studying subjects ranging from Biochemistry to English to Experimental Psychology. Three of these students first joined us on our GCSE Programme. All our Sixth Formers have the opportunity to take part in the Oxford & Cambridge programme, which helps them to prepare for the demanding interviews and tests that these universities set.

Popular new AQA Baccalaureate

The AQA Baccalaureate is a new qualification studied in addition to A levels – and is proving very popular with our Sixth Form students. To find out more, watch this short video interview.
