What is an ISC? |

![]() |
The initials ISC stand for International Study Centre. ISCs offer international students a bridge between the culture and schooling of their home country and that of the UK. This gives international students the opportunity to adjust to life in the UK before taking very important decisions regarding their future education. A student at d'Overbroeck's ISC will study for the GCSE examinations necessary to gain entrance into UK Sixth Form, where he/she will then be able to study for A level examinations, ultimately allowing admission to UK universities. A foreign student hoping to study at a reputable university in the UK will tend to have a much better chance of obtaining the necessary grades at A level, and having the required high standard of English, if he/she has attended the ISC before Sixth Form. d'Overbroeck's International Study Centre is part of d'Overbroeck's College, the UK's leading independent Sixth Form. d'Overbroeck's College is a member of the Independent Schools Association and is an Associate member of the British Association of International Study Centres. |
