The OPAL Programme makes it more likely for international students to be accepted by British universities, as by the time they take up their places on degree courses, they have already had great experience of the British education system.

This year, two former students who took the OPAL Programme followed by A Levels at d'Overbroeck's College, gained places at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge.

In 2006, two former OPAL students achieved places at Oxford and Cambridge university.

In 2005, four former OPAL students achieved places at Oxford University.
