There is a very close atmosphere at the ISC and many of our students say that it is like belonging to a big family. We offer as much personal support as we can in order to ensure that our students benefit fully from their time here. Students are assigned a Form Tutor when they first arrive at the ISC. We currently have 3 form
tutors who ensure that our students are well cared for and supported
through their studies. Students meet once a fortnight with their tutors
to discuss any issues that may arise. In addition the Director of the ISC has regular meetings with students in order to discuss their individual academic progress and any concerns that they may have about their life in the UK. We hold an ISC assembly once a week on a Monday morning which offer an opportunity for students to contribute to the College and the ISC by presenting topics of interest from their own countries. Twice daily registrations are held to facilitate ISC communication and to monitor student attendance. When students arrive they are registered with the College Doctor. If they get ill and need treatment, staff at the ISC will arrange their appointments. There are also staff phone numbers that students may call in case of an urgent problem. We welcome regular communication from parents, and aim to keep them well informed of students' progress and well-being through detailed reports. |
