Courses

Under the Programme name OPAL (Oxford Pre- A level), we offer two different study options for students:

  1. One Year- September start (3 terms)

This is ideal for students who want their English to reach a high level and gain UK GCSE qualifications, before starting on an A level course in the UK. Students who take this course of study will typically leave with 4 or 5 GCSEs and a Trinity ISE Certificate in English.

Many students who take this option go on to gain outstanding results in their A level exams and can then progress to leading UK universities.

  1. 2 terms- January start

This is ideal for students who would like to experience the UK Education system without committing to a full year of study away from schooling in their home country.

Students follow an intensive programme of English language to improve their level of English and help them adapt to studying in a foreign language. Students will take 1 or 2 GCSEs as well as Trinity ISE Certificate in English.

Individuals are advised that half a year of study does not always provide enough time to reach a high enough level to make a Sixth Form application successful.

We are sometimes able to offer students the option of staying one term only (three months) but this depends on capacity and cannot be guaranteed.

The focus for all of these courses is on improving English skills alongside the study of other academic subjects.
