Course objectives

The OPAL Programme is designed to provide our students with a positive learning experience based on three key features:

1.    A core academic curriculum which will allow you to improve your English and develop a range of key skills such as the following:

    -    Improving your writing skills and take notes effectively in English

    -    Working independently to research and produce coursework

    -    Being self-disciplined and organise your time efficiently

    -    Revising in preparation for examinations

    -    Coping with exam stress

    -    Allowing you to GET THE GRADES YOU DESERVE and need so you can go on to study your preferred A level and university course.

2.  A strong framework for personal development, underpinned by caring pastoral support and a wide-ranging extra-curricular programme which will extend your learning skills and life skills outside the classroom.

3.    A mutually supportive and respective learning environment which welcomes diversity as a strength and recognises the contributions of every individual.

You will also learn about British culture and life in the UK today (in the classroom; out and about on trips; or at home with your host family).
