After the ISC

After completing the OPAL Programme, many students continue their studies at d'Overbroeck's Sixth Form although there is competition for places. (For more information click here)

Others opt to go to a different school or university foundation course in the UK, whilst some return to their home countries.

Generally most UK Sixth Forms will want to see that a student has made an improvement in  English and Maths whilst studying in the UK and that they are a confident communicator with strong skills in written and spoken English. They also need to have a background knowledge in other academic subjects.

Whatever you choose to do, you can expect lots of help and support from us.

We are happy to give advice on school placement and to work with you, your family and your representatives to help you find the best option for you.

We will also provide you with references and any other paperwork you need to support your application to d'Overbroeck's Sixth Form or other schools.

Throughout the OPAL year we will provide advice and guidance about future study in the UK with sessions including:

  1. Introduction to the UK education system
  2. A level subject options at d'Overbroeck's
  3. Sixth Form options at d'Overbroeck's and elsewhere
