Singing course content
We will be rehearsing and performing the choral operetta Captain Noah and His Floating Zoo.
Composed and first performed in 1970, Captain Noah and his Floating Zoo retells, in lighthearted and enthralling fashion, the story of Noah's Ark. Lasting 25 minutes, it's full of exciting and challenging music, allowing singers to explore a wide variety of styles and techniques — from folk to samba!
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in singing, and looking for an exciting and original project to be involved in. Most importantly, this is a chance to have some real fun with music whilst developing and exploring a wide range of musical styles and techniques. The final performance will stand as testament to the ways in which music and singing can be brought together to a truly unique and exciting climax.
The final concert
The course will culminate in a concert on Thursday 18 August – to which family and friends are warmly invited.
