Easter Revision GCSE, AS and A level

As of this year, we are no longer offering Easter revision courses.

The College's Governing Body has taken the decision that we shall no longer be running Easter revision courses for GCSE and A level.

This is a significant decision for the College: we have run Easter revision courses for the past 31 years, and our courses have been amongst the most established and best known in the country.

We have thoroughly enjoyed running these courses and they have continued to be enormously popular. However, life does not stand still, and Easter courses no longer sit well alongside the other activities of the dynamic and growing d'Overbroeck's community.

We have always aimed to staff our Easter revision courses as far as possible with our own permanent teaching staff, because we felt that this was essential to maintaining the high quality of teaching which we wanted to offer.

As the College has grown to its current size, so the term-time commitments of our teaching staff have grown too, and it has become increasingly difficult for us to accommodate the revision courses at Easter, alongside all else.

At the same time, changes to A level and GCSE specifications have meant that, in our view, conventional Easter revision courses are no longer going to be quite as effective from students' point of view as they were formerly.
